What nobody tells you about housing near NEU

Most landlords in Mission Hill and Roxbury won't rent to international students without a US cosigner. Your best bet is the Fenway/Longwood corridor β€” property managers there are used to F-1 visa holders. Start your search in June for an October lease, not September when everyone else panics. If a listing says "credit check required" without mentioning guarantors, skip it.

Best for
First-years who want to be near everything and everyone.

The closest thing to a NEU Indian student hub. Most buildings here have dealt with international tenants and many accept guarantor letters instead of US credit. Evans Way Park is right there, and Star Market is a short walk. If you want to be surrounded by other Indian students, this is the default choice.
